Heart

We’ve arrived in Lhasa—capital of Tibet. Our guide Tashi is Tibetan and is the most wonderful human being. He said,

“It is all about the heart—if my heart is open and your heart is open then the world will be at peace.”

He talked about Buddha of course and compassion,

“We must all have compassion and understanding.”

And that is not long after the Chinese came and took over Tibet, destroyed over 6,000 monasteries and killed tens of thousands of Tibetans.

“We must learn to live together in peace.”

He said.

Today, my friend is about opening our hearts—me opening my heart and you opening yours. With an open heart we will forgive ourselves and others, we will be compassionate to those who suffer and compassionate to those who do hurtful things. My friend there is one of two places to come from; fear or love. Let’s choose love today and an open heart.

About Val Gee

I believe we all want to love and be loved. If we are not in love or being loved, then what are we doing here? I choose to wake up every morning filled with love and so I make it my mantra, "My purpose in life is to be loving." Check out my books published by McGraw-Hill. www.amazon.com.

  1. Yes, there is some truth to this. We need to find compassion.. We need to get out of ourselves. This world is narcissitic and getting worse. It is about immediate gratification. It is addicted and most everybody is out of control. Everybody idolizing everything and anything immediate to the moment of gratification. Completely obllvious of the suffering that is so evident
