We’re travelling to the Taj Mahal—one of the seven wonders of the world. The road we are travelling is very long and straight. At each side are fields upon fields of grass, vegetation, and hay stacks. Here and there are a few people. The trees stand mainly in rows outlining the fields. They are a prominent feature of the land, but not like a forest or a grove of trees—they are more like sentinels guarding the land.

Today, my friend let us be sentinels of our land. Let us rejoice in the trees, flowers and shrubs that decorate our environment. Without trees or standing people, simply standing under the sun, rain, sleet and snow, our land would not thrive. Today, imagine yourself to be like a tree. Flexible, long-standing able to withstand whatever comes along. Today my friend rejoice in the trees.

About Val Gee

I believe we all want to love and be loved. If we are not in love or being loved, then what are we doing here? I choose to wake up every morning filled with love and so I make it my mantra, "My purpose in life is to be loving." Check out my books published by McGraw-Hill.
